RENO, Nev. (Sept. 6, 2024) – Reno Tahoe invites the community to join the “Book Bowl” at the National Bowling Stadium (NBS) on Sunday, Sept. 28, from noon to 2 p.m.

Book Bowl is part of an ongoing fundraising series for local non-profit organizations, where Reno Tahoe opens the doors to the iconic National Bowling Stadium in downtown Reno for public bowling. Since the launch of Public Bowling Days in November 2023, these events have raised significant funds for local non-profits.

In honor of National Literacy Month, a portion of the proceeds from Book Bowl will benefit Spread the Word Nevada, an organization dedicated to promoting childhood literacy in low-income communities. Attendees are encouraged to bring a children’s book to donate, with each donation earning a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes.

“September is National Literacy Month, and we’re proud to support childhood literacy through this community event,” said Reno Tahoe President and CEO Mike Larragueta. “Book Bowl is a great opportunity for families and friends to enjoy an afternoon at the National Bowling Stadium while making a difference in the lives of Nevada’s children.”

General admission tickets are $50, which includes a lane for up to five people, shoe rentals, and bowling balls. Parking is complimentary. Public Bowling Days at the National Bowling Stadium offer a rare chance for the public to experience this venue, typically reserved for competitive events.
