RENO, Nev. (April 21, 2025) — Reno Tahoe is proud to announce that Art Jimenez, Executive Director of Tourism Sales at the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (RSCVA), has been named a recipient of the 2025 Excellence in Tourism Award, presented by Travel Nevada during the 32nd Annual Rural Roundup in Laughlin.
Jimenez was recognized for his significant contributions to the Reno Tahoe Territory (RTT), which includes Reno, Sparks, Carson Valley, Lake Tahoe, Virginia City and Carson City. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Jimenez has played a key role in elevating the region’s tourism strategy, enhancing visitor experiences, and helping shape a cohesive vision that continues to strengthen the area’s global appeal.
“This award is a reflection of the important work being done by so many tourism professionals in Reno Tahoe and throughout the State of Nevada,” said Jimenez. “I’m proud to serve alongside a network of individuals who strive to showcase the best of our region through collaboration, innovation and passion for inviting and welcoming visitors to explore our home. It’s a privilege to work in the tourism and hospitality industry in our great state, and I’m humbled by the honor.”
The award was presented at the Excellence in Tourism Awards dinner on April 10, during Rural Roundup, Nevada’s premier conference for rural tourism professionals. Hosted by Travel Nevada, the event honors outstanding individuals whose work supports and advances tourism in their communities and across the state. Jimenez was one of seven honorees from tourism territories across Nevada.
