On top of a very challenging quarter due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our cities, state and country are faced with another difficult situation. With casinos and our major resort partners preparing to open this week, it was our intention to have a small community event, celebrating a subtle return to normalcy. This moment in our community, however, is highly sensitive, and RSCVA staff feel that launching a reopening celebration is irresponsible and dismissive of the times.
The RSCVA’s mission to attract overnight visitors to Washoe County lodging properties remains, and includes groups and individuals from all backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, genders, orientation, social and political philosophies. We love our community, we love our visitors, and we will make it through this; all of us, together.
Below you will find additional updates from the previous week, as we continue working toward the eventual recovery of our tourism and business community. Please reach out to us with any comments or questions you may have.
