RENO, Nev. (May 21, 2021) – The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) and the Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce today held a grand opening of their new offices, located at 4065 S. Virginia St. in Reno.
Leaders from each organization say today’s event officially opens the door to future success, where local business and tourism officials work hand-in-hand.
“The Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to work side-by-side with our RSCVA colleagues,” said Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce CEO Ann Silver. “Together, we can promote our robust business community and showcase the vibrant arts and cultural organizations that attract visitors and provide quality life experiences for our residents.”
The RSCVA and The Chamber have extended this collaboration, incorporating a web-based platform which will provide value to visitors and local businesses by creating savings opportunities and experience-passes. The first pass will feature local arts and culture merchants and attractions, including the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum, allowing visitors and locals to redeem prizes at the Reno Tahoe Visitors Center, inside the Home Means Nevada store in downtown Reno. This is the first of many passes to come, and redemption is free.
“A greater partnership between the RSCVA and the Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce allows the opportunity to utilize our resources within the community,” said RSCVA President and CEO Charles Harris. “Visitors and local business owners rely heavily on each other. Together we have the ability to enhance the visitor experience and the local economy, while also providing value for Chamber members.”
Both the RSCVA and The Chamber officially moved into the new office space in December 2020, but celebrations were put on hold due to health concerns related to the pandemic.
