RENO, Nev. (July 29, 2021) – The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) announced today the promotion of Christina Erny to Vice President of Marketing and Courtney Jaeger, CPA to Vice President of Finance.
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President of Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives to help achieve the goals of the RSCVA through leadership, collaboration, change management, innovative partnerships, sophisticated brand development/management and capitalization on technological resources. The VP of Marketing oversees programs related to integrated marketing, research, advertising, media buying and negotiating, official publications and collateral, web strategy, social media and event marketing, and leads the day-to-day operations of the marketing and communications teams.
Ms. Erny joined the RSCVA in May 2011 and was most recently the RSCVA Director of Marketing. Erny is a nationally recognized speaker, who has more than a decade of experience in brand development and implementation of the marketing and communication strategies for the Reno Tahoe region, both domestically and internationally. She has attained the Certified Destination Marketing Executive (CDME) credential, the tourism industry’s highest educational achievement. She also was an honoree of Destination International’s 30 Under 30 Future Leaders in Destination Marketing program. Erny currently holds the role as the Treasurer of the Regional Air Service Corporation Executive Committee, as well as seats on the Destinations International 30 Under 30 Alumni Council, Destinations International Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee and Nevada Commission on Tourism Marketing Committee.

Christina Erny is a Reno native and a graduate of the University of San Diego.
As the Vice President of Finance, Ms. Jaeger reports to the President and CEO and oversees the RSCVA’s budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, treasury functions, capital projects, and debt management. Ms. Jaeger also monitors the RSCVA’s compliance with laws and regulations and manages multiple operational areas including accounting, room tax collections, human resources, payroll, IT, and purchasing.
A licensed CPA, Ms. Jaeger joined the RSCVA in August 2020 as the Director of Finance and was promoted to Vice President of Finance in March 2021, as the organization and the travel industry continued to work toward recovery. Ms. Jaeger has more than a decade of management experience in local government finance, accounting, and auditing. Prior to joining the RSCVA, Ms. Jaeger served as the Controller of the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ms. Jaeger also previously worked in public accounting at one of the top 20 largest CPA firms in the U.S. where she managed the financial audits of several Nevada local governments.
